Categorically Speaking: Announcing Menu Changes for Piercing Ken’s Website

Greetings my friends and welcome to another technical update. Every now and again you’ll find the Ken Pierce Media website doing this kind of broadcast as opposed to it being shared over on one or both of my other two websites. I’ll explain why shortly and will add that this particular notice is specifically geared towards any of you who are regular readers of my Piercing Ken website aka “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”. I’m penning this announcement up a few short weeks after the 19th Anniversary of the PiercingMetal site (which is documented HERE for the interested) and since “The Chronicles” will reach its own 14th Anniversary in the coming weeks, I thought that it was a good idea to both make the change that I will be discussing and share it along with you in this fashion. Now onto the subject at hand. For many years, the Piercing Ken website has used a similar menu structure like the PiercingMetal website and has even mirrored two of its main categories with both the “Pop Culture” and “Reviews” sections matching down to the letter. Let’s discuss the Pop Culture section first. It used to look like the structure that you see down below with a Parent Category on the top and then the Child Categories down on the bottom. That’s the web-publishing vernacular in case you wondered.

Ken Pierce Media Posts 550th Clip on TikTok

Hey there my loyal followers of the Ken Pierce Media realm and all the awesome stuff that we hope is keeping you entertained. I’m back to share the news about the Official TikTok for KPM hitting its next plateau and actually managing to do it in just over a month. Yes we have posted our 550th clip on the platform and this one hails from the performance by Tyr who were playing the Gramercy Theatre. The band hasn’t been here in a few years and one of the things I’ve been trying to do at shows are these check-in videos. I will focus on the marquee and briefly talk up the show in the hope of raising some awareness for the dates that will be following the one I am at when I am doing the video. Though these clips don’t go virual in any sense they do get a few hundred views and some even post comments which is fine by me. Truth be told I was very excited for the Tyr show since it had been some time since they were here in New York City. Content Creator Ken Pierce Celebrates 18th Year On YouTube

Hey there my friends, I just would like to take a pause in the regular creativity to use the KPM platform to share one of the media milestones for the personal side of the fence. I’m so happy that you’re joining me because today I’d like to pause the creativity for a moment and share a little bit of the personal side of the fence with you all. Today, March 25th 2024 is actually the 18th year of my using the YouTube network. Now for those keeping score that means I’ve had my own personal YouTube account for almost as long as I’ve had the PiercingMetal website which was launched back in April 2005. That anniversary post is coming soon enough on its own website post so please be patient as I reflect on my first, original YouTube profile/channel etc. Oh and if you’re just learning of this way late in the game, my personal YouTube Channel is found by clicking @kenpierce

Now despite my lengthy tenure on the platform, I am in no way shape or form one of the founding creatives or an influencer. Such terms weren’t really the thing back then and Google wouldn’t even purchase them until later on in 2006. I didn’t post any clips of my own until five years later in 2011 which I mentioned on the last anniversary but I was so oblivious to this as a medium that I never felt that I was losing any “traction” for my creative efforts. Since I shared the first video ever posted her the last time around, with this anniversary post I’m going to share the most recent video and what’s funny is this one was actually recorded yesterday and scheduled to premiere very early this morning. Once I had my coffee in me I had to scramble to get these thoughts in place to be on proper point with the milestone. The video is from the Bay Ridge St. Patrick’s Day Parade. I live in that neighborhood and our parade happens the week after the main one in the city for the most part. I hope you like this before I continue along.

Today: The Toy Insider “Spring Fling” Toy Preview 2024 @ Lavan Midtown

Hey there my kind readers, its time for me to take a moment out of the always hectic publishing regimen to let you know that the Creative High Command of Ken Pierce Media will be in attendance at the first-ever Toy Insider “Spring Fling” Toy Preview. It will be taking place for a few hours at the Lavan Midtown event space which I have never been to before and if my mathematics are correct this will amount to being my sixteenth event that the Toy Insider has asked me to join in on. My announcing it here is based on this one likely being a bit of cross-coverage for my longstanding pair of editorial websites.

Ken Pierce Media Posts 500th Clip on TikTok

Hello again my dear Friends and Followers, I’m back once more to share some coolness and another Ken Pierce Media milestone with you all as the month of February heads to a close. So I guess that its been almost a year and a half since I actually began to use TikTok for the entertainment world that I oversee and truth be told, way back in the beginning I had no idea if I even wanted to be on the platform. Despite having the account longer, I finally dove in before the New York Comic Con of 2022 and I’ve been busy with that ever since. As some of you already know, everytime that I hit an increment of “50” posts, I will do a post about that on the Ken Pierce Media site because why not and today I am here to share the news that we have just recently posted our 500th video. The timing seemed to mirror my own celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the debut album the “Hottest Band In The World” KISS and so while one celebrates a 50th another marks a 500th. For me this was pretty cool because I am an absolute diehard for the band and even was fortunate enough to see both of their final shows at Madison Square Garden at the beginning of December 2023.
