Ken Pierce Media Celebrates Its Third Anniversary (2020-2023)

Hello my friends, it’s once again time to take a pause from the usual course of business to celebrate a website birthday. I’m excited to share the news that today is the third anniversary of the Ken Pierce Media brand and a lot has happened with it over the last year so let’s chat. As many know, this idea was launched in June of 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic as a tool to help me with some web-consulting. I had hoped to use the lockdown time to offer up some help with other creators websites and their social media accounts for a modest stipend since there were no shows, conventions or special events of any kind to attend in real life. The idea first manifested as a Blogspot which is a super bare bones medium to use when one doesn’t want to lay down cash for a professional level website or branding. I think I also mentioned that I planned on using this as a place to learn how to take creator content off of such a medium and get it into a more powerful tool like WordPress. The Blogspot’s name led me to using it for the takeover of the PiercingMetal Tumblr and then a full on WordPress was launched which integrated all of that Tumblr stuff and we were off and running. The long-winded full story can be perused over on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” by clicking HERE). Now before we get too deep into the goings on from the past year how about that awesome new Birthday logo from our own stalwart Art Director, Jumpin’ Joe Kaufman. Let’s continue.

Ken Pierce Media Posts 200th Clip on TikTok

For the last few months I’ve been doing a post for every 50th clip that gets placed on the Official Ken Pierce Media TikTok. As you might expect I did one for the very first clip and then one for the 25th clip for good measure and from then on it would be at every 50th addition to this feed. Back when I began using this social network I wasn’t sure how I’d like to approach it but after the 50th came the 100th and then 150th which brings us to this latest achievement. Yes my friends, I have posted my 200th TikTok clip and this one actually happened to come along a little faster than the previous one did and that was because I was not only doing posts from concerts and conventions but I also was hitting a few website and social media milestones. The 200th clip is actually about one of those milestones and lauds the fact that the Official PiercingMetal YouTube is now fifteen years old. I don’t know about you but I think that this news calls for some kind of Internet celebration.

Content Creator Ken Pierce Celebrates 17th Year On YouTube

Hey there my friends, I’m so happy that you’re joining me because today I’d like to pause the creativity for a moment and share a little bit of the personal side of the fence with you all. Today, March 25th 2023 is actually the 17th year of my using the YouTube network. Now for those keeping score that means I’ve had my own personal YouTube account for almost as long as I’ve had the PiercingMetal website which was launched back in April 2005. That anniversary post is coming soon enough so please be patient as I reflect on my first, original YouTube profile/channel etc. Since it is a personal account, its simply called @kenpierce

So you might be saying “Wow Ken, with a YouTube Channel that old you must be one of the original legends in content creation” and well, my answer would have to be nope because while I created the original account in 2006, I wouldn’t even get around to posting anything on it until 2011. Hindsight being 20/20, way back then no one knew what was going to happen with these networks and how people became not so overnight sensations from them. I was using YouTube a lot to watch videos and concert posts and be able to like and comment on them while in the background I kept saying to myself, “one of these days”. Truth be told, “one of these days” ended up happening in 2008 when I decided to launch a Channel for the PiercingMetal site but I am not here to talk about that channel just yet. I’ll do that in April because that Channels own 15th Anniversary is not long after the websites own 18th birthday ;p
