Ken Pierce Media Celebrates Its First Anniversary (2020-2021)

It was back in June of 2020, during the height of the pandemic that a new creative angle came to my mind. I was finalizing some private consulting for a fellow scribe and their own medium at the time and while they were also a WordPress acolyte, I felt that it might be beneficial to become more accustomed to other means of blogging and that was when I began tinkering with the Google Blogger platform a bit more. Since the best way to learn is to utilize, I launched a blog called Ken Pierce Media and introduced it to the masses (as seen on “The Chronicles” HERE). A lot has happened since that time and today is the first anniversary of that website.

Though I’ve mentioned this before, I should remind the readers that one of the things I’m going to be doing here with the Ken Pierce Media outlet is shining a spotlight on special occasions and milestones that happen on either PiercingMetal.com or “The Chronicles” of Piercing Ken and yesterday we hit a really cool one. It was raining in New York City and after a quick lunch with friends I got back to the writing and noticed as I pressed “publish” on the latest post that PiercingMetal had achieved 7,777 posts. Seven thousand seven hundred and seventy seven posts!!! The Information Technology guy in me loves numbers and I found this to be pretty cool. Here’s a graphic representation of that.

Governor Cuomo Announces Reopening Of Entertainment and Sports Arenas On Feb 23rd

The Press Release:
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced that, building off of the successful Buffalo Bills pilot program, sports and entertainment events in major stadiums and arenas with a capacity of 10,000 or more people can re-open with limited spectators beginning February 23. Following the model established as part of the successful Buffalo Bills pilot program, venues and events must follow similar guidelines, including Department of Health approval for venues and events, capacity limitations, testing requirements, mandatory face coverings, temperature checks, and assigned, socially distanced seating.

The Department of Health’s work to inspect eligible venues statewide is already underway, and thanks to that work, the Barclays Center has been approved to re-open on February 23 for the Brooklyn Nets home game against the Sacramento Kings. The success of this, and similar events in approved venues over the coming weeks will help inform the re-opening process for smaller venues in the future.
