Once again, it has been a little bit of time since the banner for the Toy Association’s annual “Toy Fair” has hung proudly in the Javits Center. Now I can tell you that a lot has happened since the event in 2023 which was held in the Fall of that year. During the show, they announced that it would be leaving New York City and take place in New Orleans after this one that will begin today at the Javits Center. Fortunately, the decision was reversed and shows for 2025, 2026 and 2027 were locked in and would again be taking place in the winter months. As you know, the general public will not be able to participate in this one and that will find me once again doing double-duty for the PiercingMetal website and “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” for good measure. Most of you know that with anything that goes online with the two creative angles that another post gets added to the executive branch of my Ken Pierce Media site because that really lets me tie everything together. When I attended that 2023 trade show I felt it was pretty close to being the same as I remembered in the Before Times and this year I am hoping that it has gotten even bigger and better. This years trade show will amount to my 12th Toy Fair and I am really looking forward to seeing the reps that I only get to see IRL when this show comes along. So what is the plan you might ask…
As you read this I am already on my way to the Javits Center and if the trains worked in my favor I am actually enjoying a cup of coffee before the opening ceremony and the first of my many appointments. I’ve managed to set aside some time with some of my favorites in the toy industry like McFarlane Toys, LEGO, Bandai Namco, Diamond Select Toys, NECA and so many more. I’m not going to share every single one here but trust me, my schedule is rather packed. I’m going to continue my exploring for the latest and greatest products from the franchises that we talk about the most in our Pop Culture sections of the websites like superhero action figure stuff, Godzilla and other assorted Kaiju coolness and anything that is relating to the almighty KISS. There’s going to be lots of photos, long and short videos along with comprehensive editorial and of course blasting across all of the social media feeds we use. I’ll put a link down below for you to be led to all of our coverage posts as they populate but I ask that you be patient since it will most likely be a metric ton of content. I liked that line so much that I used it once again but its not a lie. I watch other “media” posting a few Instagrams or Tweets and a website post or two and they expect you to genuflect. Here at the Creative High Command, you get features that run for weeks based on just how many were done. You’re going to want to follow a bunch of the accounts listed on both PiercingMetal‘s and Piercing Ken‘s social media platforms to keep up. The hyperlinked text will launch the respective Linktree. Now, without any futher adieu. It’s playtime.
