Hey friends its nice to be back here with another announcement about something that we are getting involved in here at the Ken Pierce Media Command HQ. Now you’ve probably seen the announcements about the annual Toy Fair event being cancelled for 2021 and 2022 and now is set to take place at the end of this year. The change of the timing has it happening very close to the New York Comic Con and that is going to be interesting in terms of time to devote to get the maximum intel from each of the events but I digress. Today is an event called “The Play Date” and its done care of the fine folks at The Toy Association with the Adventure Media and Events team as well. The latter group are behind The Toy Insider and The Toy Book and I’m happy to share that right after this notice is published that I will be making my way there to explore it all. Now I realize that there might be a few of you out there who don’t actually know what “The Play Date” is and let me reshare the original announcement that I ran HERE. That should bring you up to speed while I am tossing the mobile and the chargers and all the camera stuff that I will need to be spending a sure to be exciting day of media. Oh yeah and in case you didn’t realize I am attending as press.

While I pointed out that I will be among the attending press for this brand-new event, I should point out that I am NOT going under the Ken Pierce Media branding and am instead going in under the PiercingMetal banner. PiercingMetal is how the Toy Insider and The Toy Association “know” me as a creative enterprise so why confuse the matter. My coverage plans for this event will most likely be a lot of photos along with long and short videos for good measure. There will also be some extensive editorial pieces to enjoy post event and lets not forget the stuff that gets sent online via assorted social media platforms. The brands that I always look forward to seeing are LEGO, Crayola, Hasbro, Mattel, Playmates and Wowwee but who am I kidding, I really love seeing everyone in the room and to sample some tasty eats as well. This time around I need to start snapping as soon as I get into the space because last time I got caught up with too much catching up chatter and wasn’t getting as many images as I like to have from this kind of event. It’s a lot of work for sure but this will all be a good prep for the return of Toy Fair which I will be submitting interest in once their Press Registration is open. At the time of this announcement this is not yet the case.
So before I send you off and running into your own day let’s remind you all of the importance of all the social media platforms that I am using here with Ken Pierce Media and beyond. In online time, the Ken Pierce Media outlet is rapidly approaching its third year of online existence and has become to perfect guidepost for content on the other two websites that I maintain. Despite an exponential level of growth on the site itself per the server logs it still has a bit of growth to do in the social media sense. In social its truly a numbers game and sadly a medium with 200 followers is considered to be not as good as a profile with 2000 of them. Though I hate the popularity contest basis of such things, I understand how it works and that is where you come in. The site page views for the year has just capped more than 300K which isn’t too shabby and each social profile is updated regularly but not being over the top. I have some friends in the personal and professional circle that post almost every ten minutes and that is bonkers to me. As I continue to push the limits of creativity with KPM I should say that while all of the links are important the ones that you need to focus on are as follows: Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. All of our networks is filed for your perusal via our Official Ken Pierce Media Linktree which can be found by clicking the hyperlinked text. Each of them are important to brand but I like the YouTube and TikTok ones the best. Thanks for reading and now it’s time to get down to business.
To enjoy our cross-brand coverage of “The Play Date” all you need to do is click HERE as that will bring all of the event specific articles to your attention in a new browser tab. Enjoy.
