
Hey there friends that are seeing our posts and especially those who know about KPM based on being TikTok Followers. When we last met for the 1150th post I pointed out being annoyed with myself for taking too long to reach it but I’ve since lost that mindset and simply let this reach new plateaus when it gets around to it. I realized that I was just too busy to constantly focus on the platform as intensely as some might do and its mostly based on the fact that there are three websites to update almost constantly. With all this being said I am happy to share that the Official Ken Pierce Media TikTok profile has just recently reached its next milestone and that is the posting of its 1200th Clip. This one was one of those “Editorial Briefs” that actually feature me in them and I do these sporadically to talk about a particular happening or achievement across the brands. At the time of my reaching this number of clips, I was taking a moment to wish our viewing audience and anyone who happened by a very “Happy Halloween”. Please enjoy.

Truth be told I’m really considering doing more of those kinds of editorial briefings since I feel that they not only let you know what we are up to but they also allow me to connect with you on a one to one basis. Now onto the next part of this post which is when I like to share the videos that needed some viewership love in order to climb the ladder a little bit or are clips that did good and I’d like to do even better. For this milestones post I’m sharing the Day One and Day Two check-in posts from the incredible New York Comic Con. In 2025, my PiercingMetal outlet was in attendance for the 15th straight year in a professional capacity and for the last few years I’ve been doing daily check ins from conventions and trade shows. I do these since I feel that it brings you all into the mix with me a little bit more and perhaps even nudges you to engage with us more as well. Please enjoy these two “We’re Here” clips 🙂

Looking back on it, I can tell you that I spent all day at the NYCC on Day One and that is not a surprise to anyone that reads the posts that go over on PiercingMetal. Down below is the Day Two arrival briefing and I was still energized to explore as much as possible. Remember this is a tremendous undertaking and I do travel solo at the convention. When Day Three rolls around I am quite tired at the onset but thankfully there is coffee. When all was said and done the coverage that we did spanned a lot of different vibes. There was day by day photographic overviews and several hundred posts to Instagram with a couple of dozen video pieces for our YouTube AND the assorted industry announcements from the comic book, toys and film companies that we regular feature content about. Take a look.

So here is where I line out the plans that I never actually make as this is a pretty free flowing network for me as a creative. As I’ve stressed a number of times in the past, I never really even wanted to use TikTok as a social media platform. The original thought of maintaining two distinct profiles for each of the main sites was an anathema to me but I solved the dilemma by creating one for KPM and for the most part it has worked. I will try to be more diligent because I am also using these briefs to showcase the adventures over on our YouTube and Instagram Reels. The first one remains one of the most important platforms for me in terms of traction and reach. Though I will be holding back on sharing the overall statistical data for a while, I can say that while we are rising incrementally in views we are not bumping up the number of followers with any level of zeal. I am also seeing a slow down in the “hearts” being clicked and that signifies that the viewer is liking the content. My main gripe about TikTok has long been that it doesn’t show you the total number of videos that have been posted on the platform or show a grand total of these likes that you have achieved. I know that they want it to be fair to everyone but media outlets like this one need to constantly focus on the numbers game and if we know better what the shortcomings are we can work harder on the upcoming efforts. I’ve met so many big talkers who tell you that they are influential and when you do the follow ratio formula on them you see just how loaded with BS that they are. Rant over. That is not why I am here. I do appreciate the almost 600 of you that are locked into us but I do ask that more of the passerby sign up. The likes have just recently surpassed the 19K mark and that’s nice but onward and upward. That’s all I have for now, thanks for reading and supporting.
