Hello my friends and good afternoon to you all. I guess it was just about two weeks ago when I announced to the readers of the Ken Pierce Media website that I would be using its editorial voice to share any of the approvals that we are getting for the pair of website under our creative command. Since our launch in the middle of the pandemic 2020 I’ve been doing my best to have KPM be the executive branch and its been going as smoothly as I had hoped. Getting to the point I have just received word that my Piercing Ken website, aka “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” has been approved as media for the rapidly approaching Curve New York Winter Showcase.
For those who don’t know what the Curve Expo is, it’s a lingerie and intimates showcase that also offers up some swimwear and accessories if those vendors choose to display. They have a few shows over the course of the year with one being in Los Angeles and another in New York and that is the one that I attend. I forget how I began adding this to our gamut of Trade Show coverage pieces but I have been there a few times and can say that its not an easy show to do this kind of stuff at. Since its a trade show its all about making sales and folks in the media can be a hindrance when deals are being made. Also, there are lots of people in intimate apparel so when you’re someone walking around with a camera you have to do so with the utmost respect and professionalism. I say this because I have myself witnessed some off-putting behavior. So I should admit that I was not intending on participating with the show this time around based on how much time I usually need to navigate the NY NOW show that I recently mentioned being okayed for as well. They run in tandem with NY NOW being on the main expo floor of the Javits Center and the Curve Show being held in the section known as the River Pavilion. However, after their press people inquired as to the status of my registering I pulled the trigger and voila, in we are.
