The TikTok Social Media Platform and More Are Now Banned In The United States

Well, they said it would be banned and here we are. TikTok is effectively inaccessible in the United States of America to protect our interests and for National Security sake. You’re seeing this notice super early in the morning if you’re still awake but I can say that I lost access to my account at around 10PM EST after I had updated the profile just a little bit. Let’s review the timeline of this.

The Timeline:
4/23/2024: The Senate passed legislation to force the Chinese owned TikTok to be sold to a US Owner or be banned in the coming months.
4/24: President Biden signs the legislation for TikTok to be banned in the United States unless its sold by ByteDance to a US owner.
1/17/25: Supreme Court Unanimously upholds the Federal Law to ban TikTok with only hours to go before its Official Ban Date.
1/18/2025: TikTok goes offline in the United States. A few hours on the day before it was supposed to. A message seen on the application informs its 170M strong user base that now President Donald Trump would look to working on solution to resolve this.

Christmastime was upon us and as result the entire city was overwhelmed with the holiday spirit. For the past few years, I’ve been doing several holiday themed photo gallery and video posts for the “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” side of my creative coin and the time had come to embark on this mission for 2023. Once again I would look to doing this series a little differently and was employing both short and longer form clips at most of the locations to serve up on the same day at different intervals. With the branded TikTok account using the Ken Pierce Media branding, those clips have been collected into this post for your enjoyment. Christmas in New York City 2022: From The TikTok Perspective

It was Christmastime in New York City and once again the Editorial High Command over at “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” (aka me) would be embarking on the now annual presentation of assorted holiday trees and other noteworthy Christmas decor. This year I’ve decided to present it a little differently and use the social media side of the fence to raise the entertainment value just a little bit. For the last few months we’ve been using branded accounts on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube a lot more since each of those networks are pushing what they are calling short form videos. Since each website I run has a channel, I want to take advantage of as many things that will generate attention as possible. Here are the feeds from the TikTok account which is something I’ve jumped into a lot since the New York Comic Con that was this past October. So while we are posting this news at the beginning of December this post will be updated accordingly as new locations are published on the TikTok network. In other words, check back often until the holiday is over. I hope you enjoy this.
