Greetings and Felicitations my Friends, I’m taking a moment or three out of your busy day to share what I feel is another one of those website posting milestones. Since time moves so swiftly in our day you might not recall this bit of information but it was back in November of 2023 when the Ken Pierce Media website reached its own 6000th Post. Now, almost two years later, the site has pressed publish on the 6666th Post. It not only felt very Iron Maiden to me but also quite Metal and since I had posted an announcement when it reached the 5555th Post, I felt that following suit would be a fun idea and lets me talk to you on a one to one basis. To be honest, it’s great to hit this kind of a publishing achievement right after the websites 5th Anniversary and if you didn’t see my lengthy missive on the site birthday from June please click HERE. I’ll admit that this years anniversary post is a little bit of a read but that’s because I wanted to take you through every step of the process in its creative journey but now let’s get back into some of the fun behind reaching post #6666.

As previously noted, the 6K publishing milestone was achieved back in November 2023 which makes this plateau about a year and eight months to reach. Unlike the PiercingMetal and Piercing Ken websites, Ken Pierce Media is largely presented as a feed to things that reside on those sites with original editorial viewpoints that exist here alone being occasionally added to the mix. I do this because sometimes an editorial spot “speaks” to both sides of the idea band. as they “speak” to both sides of the idea bank. I remember that I once referred to PM and PK as opposing sides of the same two-headed coin and well, now that KPM is doing its thing presenting items to you on an almost daily basis I refer to it as the hand that flips the creative coin. It’s both corny and creative at the same time but that being said it builds differently. Since its feeding to many things that exist, I might see a run of posts on either side and add those in as posts that direct your attention back to them. Sometimes the content base chugs along slow and steady and at other times it grows exponentially by leaps and bounds. It truly is a coin toss when you think about it.

As I’ve already pointed out in the 5th Anniversary post, I am still working in earnest on the legacy content that was imported from the Tumblr back when I did that in 2021. Had I thought of doing this in today’s publishing landscape I probably would not have bothered but its too late to change that now. The exponential growth of this avenue of ideas will probably get to its 7000th post by the time the year is out but there is always a chance that it will come afterwards based on what we are working on. For me, the main and most important thing is the content being put together on the PiercingMetal and Piercing Ken sites and then sharing that stuff here. Occasionally you’ll find me integrating some of the more interesting Instagram posts on KPM and while I used to share some of the YouTube content directly, I have left that for the two main sites where those videos are often collected together and then shared here as a general practice. There is no need to do them here one at a time when so much else is going on and remember that most of the posts that hit KPM are still shared over on the Blogspot and the Tumblr accounts but as we’ve often discussed neither of those avenues are considered professional by creators in the industry. They serve KPM as a failsafe is anything. Now before I wrap this up it’s time for the pitch, the hard sell, the commentary that lays it all on the line for us and that is to not only thank you for your interest but to also ask that you participate and engage with as many of the social media platforms and places that one can find Ken Pierce Media. As you can see by a quick peruse of the work this became something far bigger than I had ever planned or anticipated it being. The engagement on social media helps the growth and we do have that Ko-Fi profile in there as well which is a virtual tip jar that helps me keep the lights on with all of this stuff. People think it all happens by magic but server hosting fees, domain registry and equipment upkeep and replacement all cost money. This is as DIY as it gets so please consider doing your own part to keep the machine moving. Thanks once again, I will see you with another milestone post like this when we reach 7K.
