Ken Pierce Media Thoughts: So I’ve been to the UBS Arena for two big Metal shows that happened over the last few months. We got to the the legendary Scorpions who had Thunder Mother in tow based on the Whitesnake touring cancellation and then we were there for the always enigmatic Ghost who brought along Mastodon and Spiritbox and each of these shows were amazing. I didn’t get to try any of the food but when I do a concert I generally don’t do that since I am usually lugging around gear and since I don’t drink at the moment I’m not doing much of that either. It is a very nice place and one that I found super convenient to get to via the LIRR. When I got off the train this was a short walk of about 10 minutes but I think when it leaves its from a closer place since I went back home a different way. The WiFi was solid throughout and let me do my social media check ins between sets of the bands I was enjoying and I have to say everyone on staff that I encountered were super cordial. When I was there I observed a rather strict bag policy so patrons should be aware of that before heading to events. This is easier to deal with if you have a car to put things back into but not so much if you trek out there via mass transit like I have to. Though I missed the Iron Maiden show that was here I will be coming back if I can arrange any kind of coverage for the PiercingMetal or “The Chronicles” websites. Since the events here cross over between both of my branded outlets I felt it best to help celebrate their first year of activity via Ken Pierce Media. I’ll be listing the most topical of events on our respective calendars as well but as a tried and true New York Rangers fan, I don’t think I will be rallying behind The Islanders all that much ;p That’s all I have on this one my friends but I wonder what you think about the place if you’ve attended anything already. Chime in down below in the comments and I will see you again soon.
