Hey this is just a quick PSA to make sure all of our supporters in the Metal realms were aware on how best to keep up with the writing, the photos and the blogging that goes on with the PiercingMetal.com domain across the social mediums of the day (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). Obviously our longer tenured friends already know but some new ones might not be up on the fact that we regularly engage their interests in this fashion. First the links and then a little insight on their use.

As the principal creative/founder of the PiercingMetal brand I use each of these main three nets in a different fashion. Generally they will lead you back to something that is going on with the site whether it be a new article, a blog posting, a photo gallery or a cool contest for a show or music release. On other occasions I just use them to speak about a topic on my mind. The bottom line though in any of them is that you need to pay attention to them by adding your likes, follows and of course the always valuable telling to other Metal maniacs to come on board. Let’s continue.
Facebook: Speaking critically I am noticing how Facebook’s constant changes often make it hard for those who like what we do to be made aware of it. When I post, I see that xx% have seen the posting and if I wanted to spend $5, $10 or more, then additional folks will see it. Now I post too much to adopt one of their funded campaigns so I just advise that readers check back or somehow add the site to an immediate interest list to be kept in the loop. There is strength in numbers so the more we see jumping aboard and liking the page the more interest I have in using the medium for the site itself as opposed to less.
Twitter is fun but I don’t always remember to tweet even after having the account for a couple of years. I have still not mastered the idea of conversations in the medium but I try to keep up when its possible. On the opposite side I do see all messages that get send to the mailbox on the Official Facebook and I answer all notes that speak to a particular topic or legitimate inquiry. I tend to tweet new reviews and the occasional gallery or to share a thought that I have in mind when doing something music related.
Instagram: My site Instagram has been shared to the Twitter feed when I remember to do so but generally it stays on its own and while does not lead you back to the site in the same fashion as the other two, my hope is that the new person who finds the Instagram comes to seek us out via the link on the profile.
Sorry for so much text but there you have it, we now return you to our previously scheduled Metal programming. Thanks to all who support the site and keep helping its reach by sharing our works.
